Applicants General Requirements:
Certification as Fire Fighter II will be issued to those individuals who have met the following guidelines and provided documentation verifying:
- Must meet the requirements of Secondary School Education
- Must meet the requirements of NFPA-1001 – Fire Fighter I Certification
- Must be 18-Years of Age or Older
- Must have successfully completed NFPA-472-Hazardous Materials Operation (Pro Board/IFSAC)
- Must meet the Medical Fitness and Physical Fitness requirements to perform the task
- Must attain a minimum competence of 80% of certification by written examination
- Must attain a competence of 100% of certification by practical skill test
